Editorial in ANZJOG in response to Dr Liang’s audit paper on UFE

Dr Eisen Liang - Wednesday, May 23, 2012
Dr Brendan T. Buckley has written a timely editorial in ANZJOG, entitled Uterine artery embolisation: challenges and opportunities in cross-specialty care. This was in response to Dr Liang’s paper reporting the first Australian UFE series confirming the safety and efficacy of the procedure. The Editorial was published in the April 2012 issue of ANZJOG, together with Dr Liang’s paper. The Editorial highlights the importance of fully informing patients of their treatment choices. It also emphasises  the importance of collaboration between Interventional Radiology and Gynaecology, not only in routine patient care, but also in research and development of new treatments.
