Royal Hospital For Women Randwick Grand Rounds Tuesday 31st July 2012

Dr Eisen Liang - Thursday, September 20, 2012

Dr Eisen Liang and co-author Dr Bevan Brown presented their experience treating fibroids and adenomyosis using uterine artery embolisation.

Cross specialty collaboration between Interventional Radiology and Gynaecology ensured that women were offered the full set of minimally invasive options in treating symptoms of fibroids and adenomyosis. Dr Brown pointed out the various short and long term adverse effects of hysterectomy which is no longer needed with availability of less invasive options.
